Robot Vacuum Warranty and Service in Australia: What to Check Before Buying
Compare current written warranty terms, exact Australian identity, support paths and evidence maturity without confusing warranty length with reliability or Australian Consumer Law rights.
The decision this guide answers
How should Australian buyers weigh written warranty, genuine AU distribution, owner service evidence and grey-import risk before choosing a robot vacuum?
Robot vacuums combine batteries, motors, pumps, brushes, sensors, docks and connected software. Support therefore matters, but warranty length is not a reliability score.
Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees also sit alongside express manufacturer warranties. An express warranty expiring does not, by itself, define the full extent of statutory rights. This guide is practical product-selection information, not legal advice.

Start with exact Australian identity
Before comparing warranty duration, confirm the exact model and Australian support path.
A similarly named overseas or sibling model can have different warranty terms, accessories, firmware or service arrangements.
PIQSY therefore freezes exact Australian product identity before using warranty as evidence.
Current written warranty map
The current canonical Robot Vacuum records state:
- Roborock Q7T+ — 12 months
- MOVA E40 Ultra — 3 years for main body/dock; battery 1 year
- Xiaomi X20+ — 2 years
- ECOVACS T50 OMNI — 2 years
- Roborock Qrevo EdgeC — 24 months
- eufy Omni E28 — 12 months
- ECOVACS T90 Pro OMNI — unresolved
- ECOVACS X8 Pro OMNI — 2.5 years

- ECOVACS X11 OmniCyclone — 2.5 years
- Roborock Saros 20 — 24 months
- Dreame X50 Ultra — 36 months
- Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller — 36 months
These are express written-warranty facts from the governed product records. They do not establish observed failure rates.
T90 remains deliberately unresolved
T90 Pro OMNI's Australian warranty duration is inconsistent across PIQSY's governed sources.
The safe response is not to pick the longest number. PIQSY keeps the canonical warranty unresolved and excludes a specific duration from Product Fit until the evidence is reconciled.
Unknown/disputed is preferable to confidently wrong.
Australian Consumer Law is separate from the warranty card
Australian consumer guarantees are automatic rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
A manufacturer warranty is an additional promise; it does not replace those guarantees. Depending on the circumstances, consumer-guarantee rights can remain relevant even after an express warranty period has ended.
For a real dispute, use current ACCC guidance or obtain appropriate consumer/legal advice rather than relying on a comparison article.
The support path matters as much as the headline duration
Before buying, check whether you can identify:
- an Australian support contact;
- repair/return instructions;
- replacement filters, brushes, bags, mops and other wear parts;
- app and firmware support;
- any documented software-update commitment;
- seller/channel conditions that may affect the manufacturer's service process.
A longer warranty is less useful if the practical service path is unclear.
Software support is part of ownership for connected robots
The current Dreame records for X50 Ultra and Aqua10 Ultra Roller include a software-update commitment through 4 March 2029.
That is useful support/security evidence. It is not a promise that every individual repair interaction will be good and it does not prove the hardware is more reliable than another robot.
Owner evidence can reveal service themes, but it needs proportion
A handful of complaints does not prove a product is unreliable. A handful of perfect reviews does not prove durability.
PIQSY keeps exact-model Owner Evidence separate from warranty terms and independent performance testing.
A deeper owner sample can increase confidence that a recurring service theme is real. It must not become a synthetic reliability percentage or a direct Product Fit bonus.
Keep transaction records
If seller, fulfilment or warranty status matters to your purchase, retain the order confirmation, invoice and relevant listing details.
Marketplace offers can change faster than the canonical product record.
The decision rule
Use warranty/service evidence as a risk and support layer, not as the first ranking axis.
A 36-month product can still be the wrong physical fit. A 12-month product can still be the better cleaning architecture for a particular home. A disputed duration should remain unresolved rather than being turned into a hidden penalty or an optimistic promise.
