How PIQSY Works
From too many options to a decision you can explain.
PIQSY combines structured product research, owner-review evidence and category-specific decision logic so the answer reflects the shopper, not a universal ranking.
1. Research the exact product
PIQSY structures exact-model facts from manufacturer, retailer and reputable supporting sources. Australian model identity is prioritised where relevant, and conflicting or unverified specifications are kept visible rather than silently resolved.
2. Learn from owner experience
PIQSY analyses individual owner reviews that we can reliably access and match to the relevant product. We look for recurring strengths, complaints and ownership trade-offs rather than relying on an average star rating alone.
Review coverage is not exhaustive and does not represent every review published online. Where we can identify duplicate or syndicated reviews, we avoid counting the same underlying owner experience more than once.
3. Understand what matters
PIQSY Match asks a short set of category-specific questions about the use case, priorities and constraints that are most likely to change the recommendation.
4. Calculate Fit
The decision model scores how well each candidate satisfies the needs expressed in your answers. Affiliate commission, retailer, review count, star rating and general popularity are not Fit inputs.
5. Explain the trade-offs
A Match result is not just a winner. PIQSY shows why the leading option fits, where it is weaker and why close alternatives ranked differently.
6. Validate before buying
Verdicts, comparisons and decision guides provide deeper context. Product prices, stock, specifications and owner evidence can change, so PIQSY also shows when material evidence needs re-checking before purchase.
What ‘reviews analysed’ means
When PIQSY says a number of reviews were analysed, that number refers only to individual review records PIQSY actually assessed. It is not the total number of reviews that exist for the product.
Coverage varies by source accessibility, exact-product identification and our ability to distinguish duplicate or syndicated reviews. A retailer may therefore display hundreds of ratings while PIQSY reports a smaller number of reviews analysed. Larger retailer rating totals may still be shown separately as broader context, but they are not counted as analysed reviews unless the underlying review records were actually assessed.
