Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 August 2026. PIQSY is designed to work without user accounts and to collect only the information needed to operate, secure, measure and improve the service.
What PIQSY stores in your browser
When you use PIQSY Match, the browser stores a random Match session identifier and your Match answers in session storage so you can move backwards, review answers and recover the current flow within the browser session.
PIQSY also uses an encrypted, HttpOnly Match session cookie to protect the authoritative Match state and prevent tampering. The cookie is not readable by page scripts and is designed to expire within four hours. PIQSY does not require an account to use Match.
Newsletter subscriptions
If you choose to join the PIQSY newsletter on the public service, PIQSY records the email address you provide together with the subscription status, signup source, consent version and consent timestamp. This information is used to send PIQSY research, product-decision updates and related editorial emails that you have asked to receive.
Newsletter signup is voluntary and is not required to use PIQSY or PIQSY Match. Preview and QA deployments validate the signup flow without creating a public newsletter subscription. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe option provided with those messages. PIQSY does not sell newsletter subscriber information to advertisers.
Site analytics and performance measurement
PIQSY may use first-party hosting analytics and performance measurement to understand page visits, referral or campaign context, general device and browser characteristics, approximate geographic context and page-level performance signals such as loading, responsiveness and layout stability.
These measurements are used to understand which PIQSY journeys are useful, diagnose performance problems and improve the service. PIQSY does not use this measurement layer to build advertising profiles or sell visitor information to advertisers. Preview and production environments are kept distinguishable where the measurement system supports environment context.
Match telemetry
If Match telemetry is enabled, PIQSY may record a random event identifier, random Match session identifier, Match model or category identifier, event type, page path, question identifier, categorical answer value, recommended product identifier, result rank, rounded fit percentage and timestamp.
The PIQSY Match event record is not designed to contain your name, email address, postal address, payment details or IP address. Hosting and security providers may still process network and device information when delivering and protecting the site.
Affiliate links and measurement
When you choose a retailer link, PIQSY may record information needed to measure the usefulness of that recommendation, such as the product, page or content item, call-to-action, campaign or source context, creative identifier, Match session identifier, result rank, fit percentage, deployment context and timestamp.
The retailer or affiliate network you visit may collect information under its own privacy policy. PIQSY does not receive your retailer password or payment-card details through these outbound links.
Information you send to PIQSY
If you email PIQSY, we receive the email address and name associated with your message together with the contents and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to the enquiry, investigate corrections or feedback, and maintain an appropriate record of the correspondence.
Service providers and overseas processing
PIQSY may use hosting, security, analytics storage, email, affiliate and other technology providers to operate the service. Those providers process information for their respective functions and may operate infrastructure outside Australia.
PIQSY aims to keep service-provider access limited to what is needed for the service being provided and does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Retention and security
Browser Match session storage is intended for the browser session, while the encrypted Match cookie is designed to expire within four hours. Server-side operational, newsletter and analytics records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose they were collected, security, troubleshooting, product and content measurement, business records and applicable legal obligations.
PIQSY uses measures including encrypted Match state, HttpOnly cookies, restricted internal routes, request validation, rate controls and hosting-platform security controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction and privacy questions
You may contact hello@piqsy.com.au to ask what personal information PIQSY holds about you, request a correction or raise a privacy question. We may need enough information to verify and action the request.
Privacy complaints and policy changes
Send privacy concerns to hello@piqsy.com.au with enough detail for us to investigate. We will review the issue and respond as reasonably practicable.
This policy will be updated when PIQSY materially changes the information it collects, the way it uses information, or the service providers and technologies that materially affect privacy.
