Compact gaming specialists
Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is an 8.8-inch, 350g gaming-first tablet with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 2560x1600 display up to 165Hz, gaming cooling/bypass-charging features and dual USB-C including a 10Gbps DisplayPort-capable port.
REDMAGIC Astra 2 is the more aggressive specification play: 9.06-inch OLED up to 185Hz, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, dedicated cooling, dual USB-C and a 363g chassis. Its Australian channel/warranty and owner-evidence path is less mature in PIQSY's current governance, so that purchase-risk caveat stays visible.

Performance all-rounders
Xiaomi Pad 7 uses Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in an 11.2-inch, 500g format with a 3.2K display up to 144Hz. It is the more portable general-purpose option here.
OnePlus Pad 3 is much larger at 13.2 inches and 675g, but its Snapdragon 8 Elite, 16GB/512GB exact canonical reference and large battery give it a different performance-and-media role. The separately verified 12GB/256GB sibling does not replace that reference in this guide.

What the evidence does not prove
PIQSY does not have controlled cross-device thermal or frame-rate testing that establishes a universal sustained-performance winner. Display refresh rate, processor generation and cooling hardware are verified capabilities; real game performance still varies by title, settings, software and thermal conditions.
Current price and Amazon popularity are also excluded from gaming Fit. A temporary discount can change value but not the underlying size, ports, display or support-path trade-offs.
PIQSY conclusion
Choose Legion Tab Gen 3 for a compact specialist with the clearer Australian purchase path, Astra 2 if its OLED/high-refresh specialist hardware outweighs the local-support caveat, Xiaomi Pad 7 for portable all-round performance, or OnePlus Pad 3 when a large screen and higher hardware ceiling matter more than handheld weight.
The specialist-versus-all-rounder choice is the real decision; a synthetic “fastest” label is not.
