The exact Australian model has 300 m³/h CADR, a 15 dB Sleep Mode claim and Air+ connected control. The 15 dB figure remains mode-specific and is not treated as a maximum-airflow noise result.
Connected smaller-room control: Levoit Core 300S
Core 300S has 258 m³/h CADR, VeSync, PM2.5 sensing and automatic operation. Levoit's current 23 W versus 39 W rated-power ambiguity stays unresolved rather than being turned into a running-cost advantage.
Smaller-room pet architecture: Levoit Vital 100S

Airmega 400 has a resolved Australian 677 m³/h CADR, Sensitive Choice approval and no app. The family identity is verified; marketplace model-code equivalence remains unresolved rather than being collapsed into a single invented MPN.
Connected high-throughput role with a CADR caveat: Levoit Core 600S
Core 600S is the larger smart Levoit option, but the current Australian page publishes 600, 697 and 711 m³/h in different sections. The smart-control role is clear; the exact CADR is not.

Dyson publishes 24 dB Sleep Mode / 41 dB maximum purification, MyDyson control and a conditional five-year electrostatic-filter life. Its 100 m² room claim is based on 1 ACH, while 70 L/s airflow is not CADR.
Let CADR and ACH explain the room claim
A square-metre headline without its air-change basis can make a purifier look more capable than the intended turnover actually supports.
Shark HP300 demonstrates the issue clearly: 130 m² at 1 ACH and about 28 m² at 4.8 ACH are two descriptions of the same purifier. HushJet and HP072 also use 1-ACH room claims.
Where a resolved CADR exists, it provides a cleaner common airflow input. You still need the room volume and desired turnover before deciding whether that airflow is enough.
Change the shortlist when the job changes
Bushfire smoke and fine particles
Start with clean-air throughput and room volume. A higher resolved CADR can support faster repeated particle turnover when it belongs to the exact current model and is not internally disputed.
Allergies
Particle filtration and accreditation such as Sensitive Choice can shape the shortlist. Accreditation does not guarantee health outcomes or prove one purifier cleans faster than another.
Pets
Washable or pet-oriented pre-filtration can reduce the burden from hair and larger debris, while activated carbon can form part of an odour-management stack. A pet label is not evidence of pet-allergen superiority.
Bedrooms
Published acoustics and control workflow matter because the purifier has to be tolerable enough to keep running. Minimum dB claims stay tied to their stated modes and are not combined with maximum airflow unless the manufacturer provides that evidence.
