Levoit Core 300S Verdict

Who it fits

The Levoit Core 300S is a sensible fit for a bedroom, home office or smaller room where connected control will genuinely be used. Levoit Australia's current specification gives it 258 m³/h CADR, a 24–56 dB range and a compact 22 × 22 × 36 cm chassis.

Best fit when

• 258 m³/h is enough for the room;
• VeSync schedules, remote control or automatic PM2.5 response solve a real daily need;
• you want a conventional particle + activated-carbon filtration path.

Not ideal when

• the room needs materially more throughput;
• you would rarely use the app layer;
• you need one uncontested official rated-power figure for a running-cost model.

What changes the decision

Use the resolved 258 m³/h figure for sizing

The current AU specification block resolves CADR to 258 m³/h, despite nearby copy describing approximately 240–258 m³/h. The separate 54 m² claim remains manufacturer guidance rather than a universal cross-brand room-size rule.

VeSync matters only if it changes behaviour

Core 300S supports VeSync, schedules, Auto Mode, AirSight Plus PM2.5 sensing and Alexa/Google Assistant. That is useful when remote control or automation improves consistency. It is not a reason to ignore room fit.

The filtration path is straightforward

The current AU page describes pre-filter, H13 True HEPA and activated carbon, with no governed ionisation, electrostatic or UV stage. Filter-efficiency language remains test-context evidence, not a room-level health guarantee.

Read the 24 dB claim as a low-mode figure
