Decision reasoning

Why the choice changes.

The decision

Both are premium, large-screen Android tablets with 16GB memory and 512GB storage on PIQSY's governed references. The real split is hardware headroom versus a complete productivity bundle.

Choose the OnePlus Pad 3 when you prioritise its Snapdragon 8 Elite, 13.2-inch high-refresh display, large 12140mAh battery and flagship-class Android hardware, and you are comfortable buying pen and keyboard separately.

Choose the Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus when you want the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro and 2-in-1 Keyboard Pack included in the exact AU package, plus a 12.7-inch anti-reflective 3K 144Hz display and USB-C DisplayPort workflow.

Both already have substantial memory and storage

PIQSY's canonical OnePlus reference is 16GB/512GB. The exact Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus AU reference is also 16GB/512GB.

That means memory and storage do not decide this comparison. Neither governed reference offers microSD expansion, so buyers who require removable storage should look elsewhere.

OnePlus has the newer flagship processor platform

Pad 3 uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Yoga Tab Plus uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

That is a legitimate silicon-generation difference, but PIQSY does not invent a benchmark or sustained-performance margin from the model names alone. If a particular application or game is the reason for buying, check its actual platform compatibility and workload rather than treating processor naming as a complete performance test.

Lenovo includes the accessories OnePlus sells separately

Yoga Tab Plus's exact AU package includes Lenovo Tab Pen Pro and the 2-in-1 Keyboard Pack.

OnePlus Pad 3 supports Stylo 2 and OnePlus Smart Keyboard, but both are separate purchases.

For a buyer who wants a complete desk-and-note-taking setup on day one, that bundle difference can outweigh raw processor hierarchy.

Display character is different

OnePlus uses a 13.2-inch 3392x2400 LTPS LCD with adaptive refresh up to 144Hz. Lenovo uses a 12.7-inch 2944x1840 3K LTPS panel at 144Hz with an anti-reflection treatment in the governed specification.

OnePlus gives slightly more canvas area; Lenovo gives the more explicitly anti-reflective productivity proposition. Neither is an OLED route in these exact records.

Both are large tablets

Pad 3 is 675g. Yoga Tab Plus is around 640g before the keyboard pack. Neither is a compact handheld-first tablet.

If frequent one-handed use or ultralight travel is a priority, a smaller model is likely a better fit than trying to declare a 35g difference decisive between these two large devices.

Wired productivity is credible on both

OnePlus lists USB 3.2 Gen 1 up to 5Gbps. Lenovo lists USB 3.2 Gen 1 / 5Gbps with DisplayPort output. Both also support Wi-Fi 7 in their governed references.

If external-display output is a hard requirement, Lenovo's exact record makes that DisplayPort path explicit.

When OnePlus Pad 3 is the better fit

Choose it when the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, 13.2-inch display, 12140mAh battery and maximum Android hardware headroom matter more than an in-box pen/keyboard bundle.

When Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus is the better fit

Choose it when the bundled Pen Pro and keyboard, anti-reflective display and explicit DisplayPort desk workflow reduce the accessories and uncertainty around a productivity setup.

PIQSY conclusion

OnePlus Pad 3 is the hardware-headroom choice; Yoga Tab Plus is the complete productivity-package choice. Do not compare them as if accessories were free or as if a processor name alone proved the full real-world performance result.
