Why the choice changes.

These two models are close enough on resolved airflow that control style and filtration preference should do most of the deciding.
Choose the Coway Airmega Mighty when Sensitive Choice accreditation and simple local automatic operation matter more than app control, and you are comfortable with Vital Ion.
Choose the Levoit Core 400S when VeSync control, scheduling and a governed non-ionising filtration architecture are the stronger priorities.
What changes the choice
The CADR difference is too small to define two performance tiers
Coway's current Australian figure is 421 m³/h CADR; Levoit's is 433 m³/h. A 12 m³/h gap is not a useful reason to declare one model the stronger room purifier by itself.
Start with whether this airflow class fits the room, then compare the ownership and filtration differences that remain.
Core 400S is the connected option
Core 400S supports VeSync, schedules, PM2.5 sensing and automatic operation. Mighty has PM2.5 sensing and automatic operation but no app.
If remote control and scheduling will be part of your routine, Levoit has the clearer workflow advantage. If you want to leave the purifier in Auto mode and avoid another app, Coway's simpler control model may be the better fit.
Vital Ion can be a hard preference gate
Mighty includes Vital Ion. The governed Core 400S record has no ionisation, electrostatic or UV stage.
That is not a feature-count contest. If you specifically want a conventional non-ionising particle + carbon architecture, Core 400S is the cleaner match. If Vital Ion does not conflict with your preference, Mighty stays in contention.
Sensitive Choice strengthens Coway's allergy-focused positioning
Mighty carries Sensitive Choice approval; Core 400S does not in the governed record.
That accreditation can be useful context for an allergy-focused shopper, but it does not prove faster cleaning or override the near-matched CADR figures and filtration preference.
Price and wattage are weak tie-breakers here
