Who it fits

The Dyson Gen5detect Absolute is the flagship Dyson to choose when long stated runtime and the Detect feedback concept both matter enough to justify a heavier machine. Dyson states up to 70 minutes and lists the product at 3.5kg.

The most important correction to a simple flagship story is filtration: the current V15 Detect Absolute record already includes whole-machine HEPA filtration. PIQSY therefore does not tell you to step up to Gen5detect merely to obtain HEPA.

Best for

Choose it for larger homes, longer cleaning sessions and buyers who value hard-floor illumination, automatic suction response, hair-focused tools and whole-machine HEPA in one flagship package.

Not ideal for

It is a poor fit when carrying weight is a major concern, when 60-minute-class runtime is already enough, or when the premium convenience you actually want is auto-emptying rather than more cleaning feedback.

Extra runtime is the clearest verified step up from V15

The Gen5detect keeps Dyson's dust-visibility and automatic-response concept while extending the governed maximum runtime from the V15's 60-minute class to up to 70 minutes.

The Detect workflow still needs to matter to you
