That makes it structurally more guided than Barista Express Impress. It still does not insert the portafilter or dispose of pucks, so the user remains part of every espresso cycle.

If you want an interface that reduces uncertainty without turning coffee into a fully internal automatic process, this is the core appeal.

The Impress Puck System assists rather than fully automates

The exact BES881 uses intelligent dosing and assisted 10 kg tamping, with an integrated grinder offering 30 settings.
