Choose Breville LCE208 when app control, child lock, directional tilt and verified safety are central to the decision. Choose De'Longhi TCH8993ER when you want a conventional higher-output ceramic tower for fast medium-room warm-up and do not need Wi-Fi.
Breville wins on control architecture
LCE208 combines 80-degree oscillation with 30-degree manual vertical tilt, app control, voice assistance, a magnetic remote, child lock and an electronic thermostat. Breville also publishes a connected-product support period through March 2031.
That makes it the better Match fit when the buyer wants scheduling or directional control rather than merely a hotter-feeling airflow stream.
De'Longhi wins the simpler fast-heat role
TCH8993ER is a 2400W ceramic tower with three heat settings, thermostat, ECO Plus, remote and timer. It is the more conventional medium-room fast-heat proposition.
Its Silent Plus label should not decide a bedroom purchase, however. Exact-model Australian owner feedback includes noise complaints, so PIQSY does not award it a quiet-room advantage simply because of the feature name.
Safety and warranty tilt toward Breville
Breville explicitly documents tip-over and overheat protection plus child lock and carries a two-year limited warranty. TCH8993ER verifies tip-over auto-off and has independent AU safety-test evidence, but CHOICE's current specification lists a one-year warranty.
